Change in the grant space

2019 marked 25 years of the Gambling Community Benefit Fund (GCBF).

As we continue to reflect on the fund’s impact on Queensland communities over this time, we are committed to continually improving and simplifying the way organisations can apply for funding. To encourage the fair distribution of funds and to ensure the application process is as smooth and intuitive as possible, some changes to the funding guidelines have been made.

These changes came into effect from the opening of Round 104 in January, and relate to organisation eligibility, application eligibility, variations to approved applications, and the acquittal of grant funds.

We encourage you to read the changes to the GCBF funding guidelines and what they mean for organisations.

The changes are a result of consultation with community groups and aim to further support hardworking groups to provide worthwhile services and activities to all Queenslanders.

We’ve also made it simpler to access and read the guidelines online – making it easier to navigate by topic. Check them out at www.justice.qld.gov.au/grants
